Travis Roland Named First Team All-MEAC Post-Season Honors
 
Senior safety Travis Roland was named to the All-MEAC First Team and six other Wildcats earned second team All-MEAC honors in the post-season awards handed out Monday night by the MEAC. Roland, who is also in the running for FCS All-American honors and post-season academic awards as well, led the Wildcats to an 8-3 finish in 2008 - the team helping earn Coach Alvin B. Wyatt's record-setting 84th and 85th career wins.

FAMU Beats B-CU 58-35 In 2008 Florida Classic
 
The 2008 Florida Classic was a wild offensive show with the two teams combining for 49 second quarter points. FAMU jumped out to 31-0 lead before the Wildcats battled back with three touchdowns in the final seven minutes of the second quarter to pull within 38-21 at halftime.

WILDCATS UP RECORD TO 8-2, BEAT HOWARD 14-12 ON SENIOR DAY
The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats won for the eighth time in 2008 with a hard-fought 14-12 win over the Bison of Howard University Saturday at Municipal Stadium on Senior Day. Howard (1-9, 0-7) gave B-CU (8-2, 5-2 MEAC) all it could handle and it took a blocked PAT play and stopping a late two-point conversion to hang on for the win. [+]

DEFENSE KEYS 17-6 WIN AT HAMPTON UNIVERSITY
A swarming B-CU defense led the way with the Wildcats winning 17-6 at Hampton University. The win for B-CU (now 7-2, 4-2 MEAC) was the 84th career coaching win for Head Coach Alvin B. Wyatt, Sr. breaking "Bunky" Matthews' school mark of 83 wins (1946-60). [+]

HALFTIME UPDATE -'CATS LEAD 7-6 AT HAMPTON UNIVERSITY
The Wildcats lead 7-6 after two quarters, combining the rushing of Sr. QB McKinson Souverain (59 yards, 7 carries) and the stellar defense of Sr. safety Travis Roland (1 sack and 3 tackles for losses). The Wildcats' defense stopped the Pirates on numerous plays inside the ten yard line and limited HU to two short field goals. [+]
